My Dream Encounter with Hillary Clinton

I spent my night in a dream avoiding Hillary Clinton at the bar and looking for my lost shoe. -Jeremy Griffith

Dreams can be weird and last night I had the weirdest. I haven’t visited this blog for months so I thought I would tell you about it. This my dream encounter with Hillary Clinton.

So I was celebrating, in my dream, the election of Donald Trump and the trouncing of Hillary Clinton, the worst democrat candidate in the history of bad candidates, when I’m approached at the bar by none other than Hillary Clinton. Now I’m dressed in a nice suit and tie with my nice Army black dress shoes, the patton leather ones. She’s looking all haggard and in disarray, morn full over her epic loss. She says to me, “well Jeremy I guess you have something to brag about in your little blog now. But just you wait, your comupance will come.”

I was stunned. I thought to myself, doesn’t the former Secretary of State have better things to do than slum it with us in a Minneapolis bar? Here in  Minnesota at least she could hide among her many supporters, we’re such a blue state.

Tim Walz was with her, our smarmy representative here in Minnesota and he introduced himself to me saying. “Well, Mr. Griffith, it looks like I’m going to be your congressman for a little while longer!” He had a huge smile on his smug face.

“Yes, that is too bad. Enjoy your victory while you can,” I said, shaking his sweaty hand. “I hope you have conference meetings with your new peer from the second district, Jason Lewis!” I’m still miffed about Walz’s razor thin win over Jim Hagedorn, but I guess that is politics. At least I can console myself with the notion that we Republicans have the majority in the house and the senate, and a quasi-republican president in the White House. The former popular libertarian radio talk show host Lewis was elected handily in the second district of Minnesota and will be a good representative to offset the miserably inept Walz.

Clinton approaches me again as Walz politely drifts off into the woodwork. Her breath smells of alcohol and she seems a bit unsteady on her feet. She says, “don’t think for one second, my dear fellow, that we Clintons are done. You haven’t seen the last of us!” She had a slight lisp in her voice.

“Madam Secretary,” I said, very polite. “You’re political ambitions are done. You might as well take your ill-gotten gains from your fake foundation and move quickly to a non-extradition country and retire before you get audited. If you do have a future, it is in the slim hope that your daughter Chelsea wins a New York house seat as you have planned!”

That comment earned me a slap from Hillary, with stunned me and which led me to lose one of my shoes under the bar, which was never recovered. Shocked I turned to Chelsea, who was standing there in tow behind her mother, acting meek. I said to her, “Chelsea if you do run for office, don’t act like your corrupt parents. You’ll get slaughtered if you do. We’re making America Great Again!” I spent the rest of my dream looking for my lost shoe.

So how weird is that? I’m grateful that Donald Trump has beat Hillary, I’m sorry to have Sergeant Major Walz as my rep again, but then, he has to run again in two years and hopefully we can get someone to beat him. I hope Chelsea won’t run, little chance of that. I guess all my concerns, fears and hopes came out in this one dream. It will be such a relief to not have to talk politics for a while.

Good luck Mr. Trump, I hope you can turn this country around.

D’Souza’s Miracle: A Patriotic Filmmaker Who Won’t Shut Up!

by Jeremy Griffith
The American Millennium
Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza.

Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza.

Dinesh D’Souza, the Indian immigrant to the United States turned patriotic filmmaker, has produced the most fantastic comeback in recent history as his newest film debuts in theaters this weekend. Severely punished on trumped up charges of violating campaign finance law, but really for roundly criticizing president Barack Obama, D’Souza defies government abuse of power and comes back fighting!

I watched two great films this weekend, both with great themes. One was an exciting Sci-Fi action thriller Star Trek Beyond, which included a lovely tribute to the old Star Trek cast, especially the recently deceased Leonard Nimoy, the intrepid Mr. Spock. The other film was the patriotic historical film by D’Souza called Hillary’s America, based on his best selling book. I want to talk about the latter one for just a minute.

You will remember that D’Souza’s last film about Barack Obama, 2016: Obama’s America became the second highest grossing documentary film in American history. I predict that this latest edition, Hillary’s America will have a running shot at smashing that record! This is the first installment in film of Indian-American immigrant Dinesh D’Souza following his conviction and re-education after a politically motivated judge attempted to silence him with trumped up campaign finance violation charges. D’Souza uses his time in prison to reflect on what happened to him and incorporates it as a theme in his latest film.

Most of the time when you run amok of campaign finance laws, you are given a tongue lashing from a judge, given community service and forced to pay a fine. But, if you are a conservative filmmaker who dares to criticize an African-American president and his party, you get the book thrown at you! D’Souza received 9-months in jail and had to undergo re-education i.e. brainwashing, and psychological counseling. You’d think he’d murdered someone! But D’Souza was undaunted, and used his time to study and prepare for his next book and film, one targeting the corrupt Hillary Clinton and her deceptive Democrat party!

Interviewing the fellows he was incarcerated with, many of them hardened criminals; he learned the art of the con. There are steps, you see, to becoming a good career criminal and they are these: make a plan; recruit people to help you; make the pitch; execute the plan; and lastly, never give up the con! Petty thugs, organized crime, use this criminal formula and as D’Souza quickly came to realize, corrupt politicians do as well.

The American Democrat party has been a party of criminals and the Clintons, Hillary and Bill, are no exception. They have a plan to steal the wealth and power of America and pitch a well-orchestrated con to the American People in an attempt to convince them that they are only working to provide the basics of life for them. That is the big lie. They convince people that they are looking out for the little guy, they get their vote, and then when they get into office, they take their victims for everything they have.

D’Souza goes on a journey of discovery into the secret history of the Democrat party and takes us along for the ride. He explores the early days of the Democrat Party to the days of president Andrew Jackson, the racist slave owner and Indian fighter. Jackson is the hallmark of the Democrat party then as now. As a slave owner, he stole the lives and work of African slaves to benefit his own greed and lust for power. D’Souza illustrates this ideology with the phrase, “you work, I eat”! As a landowner, Jackson was a brutal master, stealing the labor and lives of his slaves and punishing them for the slightest malefactions. As president, he drove the Native American peoples to the brink of destruction and then forced the remainder of the Native Peoples onto tiny reservations of worthless land where he continued to degrade and enslave them.

This summer I was at Crazy Horse Monument in South Dakota with my wife. Carved in stone higher than Mount Rushmore is the face of defiance, Chief Crazy Horse of the Oglala Lakota Indians! There is a popular theme associated with that monument, a phrase quoted from Chief Crazy Horse himself. When asked where his lands were after the triumph of the white invaders, Crazy Horse pointed and said, “My lands are where my people lie buried!”

“My lands are where my people lie buried!” -Chief Crazy Horse

There is another theme that can be seen there, if you are observant enough to look. This is from prominent Chief and Native American activist Red Cloud who said, “(The white man) made many promises, more than I can remember; he never kept but one, he promised to take our land, and he took it!”

“(The white man) made many promises, more than I can remember; he never kept but one, he promised to take our land, and he took it!” Chief Red Cloud

The Democrat Party, the Party of Slavery and the Trail of Tears, has taken everything from Native American Peoples and from the Africans they imported here as slaves. They’ve not changed their ways, but only come up with a new con. Meanwhile the Republican Party has been the party that resisted slavery and championed the rights of the first nation of people on this continent. D’Souza takes us on a historical journey with his film, showing us that the conflict of the Civil War was not one of North and South, as told in the text books, but one of the Republican Party vs. the Democrat Party.

Democrats take credit for the civil rights movement, but before they became ‘champions of social justice’ it was the Republican Party that championed that cause and does until this day. The Democrats dragged their feet all the way, instituted the KKK to intimidate blacks from owning guns, voting, or opposing their rule. Indeed, many were lynched by this hideous organization, the military branch of the party, but blacks weren’t the only ones; in addition to 3,000 blacks murdered by the KKK, 1,000 white anti-slave Republicans were also murdered. You don’t hear that in the history books!

When the Republicans eventually won the argument and it became clear that the Democrats would soon be relegated to the obscurity of history, for the sake of their own survival, they came up with a new con. They switched sides, but only in public. They would claim to be the new champions of civil rights, economic equality and social justice, while secretly they would be up to their old tricks, stealing that which they did not earn from their unsuspecting victims.

Like good con-artists, they would entice their victims, mostly minorities and the very vulnerable, with talk about how they would be the party to help them get a better life, the American dream. What they really were after were the votes to get and keep them in power. When they took over the levers of control, they used them to empower themselves, not the people they espoused to help. That is why the Democrat Party wants to undermine the national immigration laws. They bring people in in great numbers, put them in Ghettos and “reservations”, make promises they don’t keep and then swindle the people they bring in. No one can get out of the ghetto and their one role and purpose is to forever vote for the candidate with a “D” beside their name.

Fast forward to the present day. Barack Obama learned from the best Marxist teachers, including progressive hero and con artist Saul Alinsky. Hillary Clinton too was a pupil, she wrote her college thesis about her mentor; but Hillary surpassed her mentor in skill and ability, she took her knowledge past where she found it. It wasn’t enough to continue to push against the government, the leftist progressive movement had to BE the Government!

From the onset of Bill and Hillary’s political life together they have been a team for political and criminal corruption. Hillary married Bill full well knowing what he was, an unrepentant womanizer. But it didn’t matter because Bill’s suave air and skillful political speech could woo any crowd and it was what she needed to get what she wanted, which was everything. In exchange for serving to get and keep him elected, she would pounce upon anyone of his detractors, namely the women he had harmed, and destroy their reputations. She was very, very good at that.

Together the Clintons built a political machine that could not be opposed. They used their tax-exempt foundation, The Clinton Foundation, to build wealth in the name of charity and they used it to fill their personal coffers. They then used that capitol to help them fight and win political campaigns and gain even more wealth for themselves. One of the most egregious examples of this was the horribly destructive earthquake in Haiti. Ruined by the devastating quake, the Haitian people cried for help. What they got was Bill and Hillary Clinton. The political power couple appealed for cash donations of even the smallest amounts, wired directly to their foundation, and they kept 90 percent of it for themselves. What infrastructure they did bring to Haiti was to corrupt business ventures that directly benefited friends of the Clintons. Today outside the Clinton Foundation in New York, Haitian immigrants still protest the fraud that is Bill and Hillary Clinton.

D’Souza’s film is well-shot, visibly interesting and full of well-documented facts. Courtroom scenes, jail scenes and other instances were clearly filmed as recreations, but there are plenty of newsreel and direct historical quotations to back up the filmmakers’ claims. The film is so well made that even the most casual fans of history would enjoy it. Everyone should see this movie, especially minorities and long time Democrats. Indeed, Democratic leaders should fear this movie as it comes out directly following the Republican National Convention and directly preceding the Democratic National Convention.

There is a poignant moment towards the end of the film that comes with a call to action. D’Souza is in a high school gymnasium converted to a polling place. The poll booths are set up in preparation of an election. A visibly distressed D’Souza stands in front of the poll booths. He is eager to vote in the election, but cannot. Despite his concern for his new home country, he cannot vote in its elections. His felony conviction prevents it!

“I cannot vote in the upcoming election!” he says. “But you can!”

D’Souza does a lot for his chosen nation, the United States. He became a citizen here to escape the corruption of his home nation of India, only to find corruption that threatens to swallow the nation that he loves. He admits he made a mistake. He attempted to help a friend as she was running for public office. He broke the law. It was not intentional. But the Obama administration could not let an opportunity go to waste, and the court made an example of him, the punishment far outweighing the crime. It is the opinion of us here at The American Millennium that D’Souza, with his political activism, his patriotism and love of country, and his community service, that it is time that D’Souza is recognized for his contribution. His rights to vote and own a gun should be returned and the next president of the United States, I hope it is Donald Trump, should honor D’Souza with a Presidential Medal of Freedom.

That is unlikely if Hillary wins. Indeed, all of us will suffer if the Democrat party wins this election season. The Democrat Party hasn’t changed. They’ve just changed the con, and if they continue to be the party in power, all of America will be its victims.

I rate this movie very highly. If you want to see great action, go see Star Trek. If you love America and are concerned for its future, go see Hillary’s America!

D’Souza recently attended the RNC in Cleveland where his film was pre-screened. Watch this great interview with Brian Engleman of The New American Media below.

Hillary Clinton and Classified E-mails: Different Rules for People Named Clinton

by Jeremy Griffith
The American Millennium

I’m getting tired of hearing about Hillary Clinton’s emails, but there seems to be a general ignorance about why this subject is important. Meanwhile, Hillary is getting away with murder and the media is giving her a general pass while others would be and have been fried for doing similar dumb things with classified information. Therefore, I am going to attempt to illustrate why this important while avoiding divulging classified information myself.

If however, I do run amok of federal law in this blog, and the F.B.I. comes knocking at my door, I’m just going to ask for a Hillary pass and see how well that works out for me. Here goes!

In my 22-year career as an Army Officer in the National Guard and later in the Army Reserve, I was in a position to use and disseminate classified information. Mostly it was due to my duties as a Transportation Officer, first as a transportation manager at Fort McCoy for 18 months beginning in 2004 and later as a transportation officer in the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division deployed to Iraq for the long tour in 2006-2007. Here is what I’ve learned about classified information, specifically in what is known as a SCIF.

Well, a SCIF, or Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility, is a secure room where normal people with Secret and Top Secret clearances with the US government go to get their classified information, either digital, documents, e-mail or what have you. I found a detailed description of the requirements of a SCIF online at the following website and I find that it is an adequate description of the SCIFs I’m familiar with. You can find that definition here. Bottom line up front, in order to access secret compartmentalized information you must pass into a small room that is specially set up for that purpose. It usually has one door, a set of computers set up on a specialized internal secret Internet system that doesn’t touch the world wide web, and you are banned from going into that secure area with cell phones, cameras or other recording devices. If you go into a secure briefing area, the same rules apply. Someone is usually manning the door, you sign in and are granted special credentials. If you are not on a list of secure personnel, you are banned from entering. It’s very inconvenient, but it is meant to prevent intentional or unintentional data spillage of classified information. Facilities that have SCIFs or classified briefing areas are usually surrounded with barbed wire and have an armed guard at the main gate.

(So why the Hell does someone like Hillary Clinton suddenly get classified information on an unsecure device like a Blackberry?! Are unicorns real?! I’ll tell you how. An assistant went inside the SCIF, stole classified documents at the behest of the Secretary of State, took off the classified markers and set it unsecure to the Secretary’s Blackberry, that’s how. It was all for the convenience of Hillary Clinton! It’s also illegal.

So why all this security? Why is the government so hell-bent on keeping secrets in the first place? To understand that, one must understand why certain data is classified. Bottom line up front, when it touches the security and safety of a deploying soldier going into a combat zone, the data of his or her arrival into the combat theater is classified, because knowledge of his or her arrival date by the enemy can lead to that soldier’s death by ambush. That’s it in a nutshell. Here is a real life anecdote.

When I arrived at Fort McCoy Wisconsin in 2004 I was the commander of a Transportation Movement Control Team, the 789th MCT. My eight-man team was dissected into different roles upon arrival and we were employed with the local garrison unit there that served to help mobilize and deploy soldiers and their equipment to Afghanistan, Iraq and other theaters of operation. I worked as a transportation manager for the post in what is called a MUIC, Mobilizing Unit Inprocessing Station. Basically every bit of information I touched in the orchestration of my job was Top Secret.

Inside my office I had a wall covered with acrylic and compartmentalized like a spreadsheet where I could track all the data points touching the mobilization and deployment of all units coming in and going out of Fort McCoy. It wasn’t my brainchild, but it was the brainchild of the retired Air Force Colonel turned civilian contractor who was my boss at the time. (The idea of an Army officer reporting to a civilian contractor is probably the topic of a completely different blog post, but there it is.) In order to work in my office, you had to be credentialed by the post and have a special badge just to get in the door. I couldn’t cover the wall every time an unauthorized person came into the room, so if you didn’t have clearance, you didn’t get in. Done.

I would often get calls from different state area commands wondering about the status of units I had mobilized to the post. Basically the two-star state Adjutant Generals wanted to know when their units were departing from theater or arriving back home so that they personally could see them off or welcome them home. I was not authorized to give that information on the phone over an unsecure line! In order to share that information, I had to get the post security manager involved and have him send that information through the proper channels through secure phone calls or email, available at that individual state’s SCIF.

Later in my mobilization to Fort McCoy the Good Idea Fairy attacked me and I decided to digitize the data I was putting on my wall in dry erase marker and e-mail to the various authorized personnel. I even proposed to display it in view screens over my desk so that VIP visitors from the respective states could see it. The security manager caught wind of this and just about had an aneurism! I was creating a SECRET document I was told, which I intended to share outside of SECRET channels, and that was a big NO-NO!! I was eventually allowed to build my document, but it had to be classified and sent through secure channels only, thus avoiding the big mess and prosecution for me, and people I worked with in the office.

Things got a little different when I was deployed with First Brigade Combat Team as a transportation officer in the S4 logistics section. In my office, which in and of itself was considered a SCIF, I had two kinds of computers on my desk, one for SECRET information, one for UNCLASSIFIED information. Neither system talked to each other. I knew which one was which because the image I had on the desk top, along with the stickers on each told me so. We were instructed that at no time would data from one system be allowed to contaminate the other. You could not take a thumb drive, plug it into a SECRET computer, download information from that computer and then share it with a non-secure system. That was VERBOTEN! I had a soldier in my office do that very thing. He plugged a CD into his secure device, burned some data, then he transferred it to his non-secure machine, where he proceeded to edit out the secure data points and share with other units through non-secure email. The Information Nazis swooped in with their jackboots and took the soldier’s computers away. Both computers had to be wiped and basically what he got back were brand new computers without any old data on them. In addition, since the data spillage wasn’t intentionally harmful, the soldier was given a permanent letter of reprimand in his file and a slap on the wrist. It could have been much worse!

Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of State, a person who should have known better, transmitted and received thousands of emails which contained classified information. As a cabinet level officer, I am 100 percent certain that the Secretary of State has a security IT manager who briefs her on what she can and cannot do with classified information. That guy or gal should be made to testify to congress! He is on the hook for whatever he did or did not brief to the Secretary of State!

Indeed, the guy who set up the nonsecure server in Bill Clinton’s basement bathroom has lawyered up repeatedly about his role in setting up this machine to facilitate the massive secure data leak at the request of Hillary Clinton. There was a reason Hillary did this. All of her business emails are ordered to be preserved as governmental documents and are reviewable by members of Congress. Some of the unclassified material is even available to the public via FOIA or Freedom of Information Act request. Hillary knew this and purposefully set up the server anyway as to avoid transparency required of her as a government employee working for the people. And the F.B.I. gave her a pass the other day saying there was no intent to do harm. F.B.I. Director Comey said in fact that there was no precedent to prosecute an official where there was no intent. What?!! Comey should check his records a little more closely!

Indeed, the F.B.I. could take a short journey down memory lane to April of 2015 to when it successfully prosecuted Iraq War Hero David Petreaus who was the general who successfully brought an American Victory in Iraq and had him crawling to court on his knees where he reluctantly plead guilty to a misdemeanor for doing exactly what Hillary has been doing, mishandling classified information. General Petreaus handed over classified information to a reporter, who was also his lover and biographer. For this crime he was found guilty and given two years probation and fined $100,000. I don’t know any misdemeanor that carries that big a fine, but I’m not a lawyer. That is amazing!

The New York Times, that liberal bastion of media, has said that the F.B.I. was decidedly miffed at the time that the court brought so low a ruling and did not follow through and jail the former general and C.I.A. director. Can you imagine?! You can read the full NYT article here. Here’s a small quote from the story.

“The sentencing was a disappointing one for F.B.I. officials, who believed that Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. had given Mr. Petraeus preferential treatment by allowing him to plead guilty to a misdemeanor and recommending that he receive probation instead of prison time. Federal judges are not bound by such recommendations, but they almost always follow them.

“Although the judge overseeing the case, David C. Keesler of United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, agreed to the probation sentence, he added $60,000 to the government’s suggested fine of $40,000. Judge Keesler did not give an extensive explanation for why he raised the fine, saying it was necessary because of “the seriousness of the offense.”

So I guess the only excuse for the discrepancy between General Petreaus and Hillary Clinton is that Clintons are immune from prosecution.

What does liberal bastion of propaganda and Hillary cheerleading Huffington Post have to say about the discrepancy? Let’s go back in the time machine to when the General was being prosecuted and then fast to today following the F.B.I. decision not to prosecute.

From the Huffington Post dated Jan. 12, 2015 from an article by Chris Weigant. You can see the whole article here entitled: Petraeus Must Be Prosecuted!

Here is a small excerpt.

Barack Obama’s Justice Department has brought more than twice as many prosecutions for the crime of leaking confidential information to journalists as the combined total of all presidents back to Woodrow Wilson. Having set this record, there are now only two choices for President Obama and Eric Holder (or his successor): Either pardon Petraeus for any and all leaks or prosecute him to the full extent of the law, in exactly the same way as the other seven were treated. At this point, whether you agree with Obama’s track record of such prosecutions, you’d have to admit that anything else would be indefensible hypocrisy and elitism.

This paragraph would be as equally meaningful and appropriate if you just take out the name Petreaus and insert the name of Clinton. But really three things are clear in the prosecution of anyone by the Obama administration’s justice department: one, all prosecutions are politically motivated, i.e. Petreaus is viewed as a political rival and Clinton is an ally, although a tenuous one; two, the lack of prosecution for Clinton is just Obama protecting his own legacy as there is no doubt that the email scandal and the contents of those emails reflect negatively on him; and three, the rule of law under an Obama administration and in the future a Clinton administration does not apply the same to the common person, you and mean, as it does with the political leftist elite.

There might also be noted a fourth lesson learned. That is, that the main stream media is a propaganda arm of the liberal progressive party and cannot be counted on to weigh facts and evidence equally when it comes to national scandal. Just look at what the Huffington Post says about the Hillary email scandal as opposed to what they said about Petreaus. Huffington Post column by Cynthia Dill dated July 10, 2016, “House Republicans should focus on solving problems, Not Hillary Clinton!”

“House Republicans on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee think if they pull every little “gotcha” string, the Clinton mantle will unravel. They desperately insist nothing will turn into something, so here we are again.

“Clinton told committee members in an epic 11-hour hearing on Benghazi on Oct. 22, 2015, that “there was nothing marked classified on my emails, either sent or received.”

That last phrase of the quote above is a flat out lie. A civil rights attorney like Dill should no better. That is not what Director Comey said. Like most blue blood liberals, they think we are all stupid and won’t actually find the video.

For those of us who are not members of the political elite or their propaganda arm, i.e. those of us living in Fly-Over Country, Hillary IS THE PROBLEM. We are sick and tired of corrupt politicians in Washington DC making up different rules for themselves than they do for us!

This is not a pro-Trump column, nor is it a pro-Petreaus column. The General had a position of public trust, he personally and repeatedly called upon soldiers in his command to do the right thing. In the meantime he was cheating with his wife with a biographer and feeding her classified information for a book she was writing about him. When you act immorally while in public office, you should get the punishment that you deserve. It seems that justice is meaningless to this department of Just Us and if we elect a politically corrupt power hungry person like Hillary Clinton to the highest office in the land, we are all to blame. We had good choices for this political season and we rejected them. If Hillary is elected president and the corruption continues, as it most certainly will, we will be getting the government that we deserve.

A personal note to Cynthia Dill of Huffington Post, but first read this quote from her column.

“Americans don’t want police officers to be shot, and we don’t want black men to be shot by police officers. We don’t want our kids to be shot at school, and we want our kids to go to college. We don’t want war with North Korea or to be infected by the Zika virus, and we don’t want income inequality or childhood poverty. What we want is economic security and safety for our families and an opportunity to get ahead. Surely those tasked with governing should be doing something meaningful to address these pressing issues when they are on the clock.”

Those are all great things to have, Cynthia! I would like to add a few items of my own! We as Americans would prefer that our law enforcement officers not be the scape-goat for every corrupt, career-climbing political hack every time they are forced to shoot a worthless, murderous thug. We would prefer politicians that recognize that the world is at war with Radical Islam and that the war won’t be done until all the terrorists are dead. We would prefer that the liberals in this country respect our constitutional right to self-defense the same way we respect their right to make asses out of themselves through the use of the First Amendment. We would prefer that our Ambassadors i.e. Chris Stevens and his loyal employees and members of the C.I.A. and force protection services, when they ask for military protection, they get it, immediately, and without question so we don’t have to see their flag draped caskets coming home on airplanes!! We would prefer that if that does happen, and it unfortunately did, that the politicians responsible for withholding help would be held accountable, publically shamed and forbidden from ever again holding public office! We would prefer that our politicians tell the truth to the families of those who die in service of our country!

And, I look forward to a day when Americans feel it is morally reprehensible to murder an unborn baby as much as it is now morally reprehensible to kill a tiger or a gorilla!

There’s my list Cynthia. I think it’s a good one. Have a nice day!

The American Millennium will support Donald Trump for president of the US

Trump supporter gets egged at rally. If you are assaulting women because of their political views, you should go to jail.

The American Millennium

This column will be my thoughts on why I am supporting Donald Trump for president.

I have to say he was not my first choice. He wasn’t my third choice. But he is the presumptive nominee of my party and I will go along with the party because I can’t stand Hillary Clinton and her sleazy husband Bill.

I imagined that if I came out to a public area in my town of Rochester and I announced over a megaphone that I supported Trump, and if I invited other people to debate me on the benefits or problems of my candidate over theirs and vice versa, I would start a riot. Can you imagine? Suppose I brought a megaphone to the Thursday’s on First events here in town and just said, “listen up people! I just want to talk about why I will vote for Donald Trump!” and then offer the megaphone to anyone who wanted to debate me, what do you suppose would happen? I’d probably be shouted down at best and someone in the crowd would probably throw something at me or assault me. Guaranteed!

It’s become crazy at these political rallies and it’s just nuts. People at Trump rallies have been struck, they’ve had eggs thrown at them. They’ve been injured, tackled, whatever. If you are assaulting people over their political speech in this country you need to go to jail and be prosecuted under the same laws as the mobsters. You are intimidating people for their political speech and you are abusive and need to go to jail. I don’t care if you are a Trump supporter or not. You hit someone else because they support someone you are opposed to, you go to jail. If you disagree, write a blog, attend a rally, join a campaign and march, but don’t be hitting people.

Assaulting people at political rallies is not free speech!

Assaulting people at political rallies is not free speech!

I see that Bernie Sanders had a rally here and it was quite well attended. Nobody burned the place down, good. What if the future president Donald Trump had a rally, would it go as well? Hey Bernie supporters, wanna debate me? Great. I’m game. I’m totally bringing up Venezuela. You millennials probably couldn’t find that country on the map.

I think that you really see the true character of people or lack there of during the political season. People go crazy. The democratic socialists love their candidate and his ideology but they don’t have the emotional maturity to listen to another person’s views with respect and then debate them with cogent thoughts of their own. Likewise there are Trump supporters who are exactly the same way in reverse. There was that video of an old cowboy punching a black guy in the face. He later said that if the man he assaulted came back he might have to kill him. That is a terrorist and he needs to go to jail.

Likewise there was a lady that had eggs thrown at her because she supported Trump. A kid was tackled in public by a black fellow because he was a Trump supporter. Another guy had blood dripping down his face because he supports Trump. Enough already.

If you support the other guy or gal, grab a microphone and debate me, but don’t be assaulting people. Your  first amendment rights don’t include assaulting people with a different opinions.

I think Trump will be a better candidate than Hillary because quite frankly I think that a Hillary presidency will be an endorsement of the last 8 years of Obama and I can’t stand the thought of that. It’s time for a change. Trump has run successful companies. He’s also had bankruptcies, but Hillary would run the country into the ground. I think Donald Trump will restructure the economy and there will be a little pain, but ultimately I think it will be for the ultimate good.

One of the biggest gripes I have with Hillary is her support of Australian style gun confiscation here in the country.  Nobody can deny we have a problem with violence in this country. But you can’t blame lawful gun owners or gun manufacturers for that. Should we sue baseball manufacturers. Their products cause more injuries and deaths than guns. Don’t get me started about cars. Violence is in the heart and to change  that you have to change the heart. Like John the Baptist said, “change from within”. You look at Europe with their massive problems with immigrants from Syria and the Middle East and what do you see, people turning over cars, looting and destroying businesses, throwing rocks at cops. Do we want that here? No.

I totally support a temporary moratorium on immigration from Muslim countries for the time being. Jimmy Carter did it and nobody called him a racist. I think it should be one of the first things on a Trump agenda. Also, build the wall. I’m tired of people coming here illegally. People call me a racist because of that. I’m not a racist. There are billions of people in this world who want and deserve a better life. There are too many people for this country to absorb. We have to help them where they are.

My fiancé who is the love of my life is an immigrant from the Philippines. She came here legally on a Green Card. People who jump the border who come here illegally are slapping people like her square in the face. “Screw you! You were so stupid to pay the money and wait  your turn! I’m just going to go to America and take my chances!” My Honeybear loves her country. She also loves this one and wants to live a happy life. We’ve watched with interest the election of Rodrigo Duterte as president of the Philippines. We have hope that he will turn that country around. We are also glad to see Manny Pacquiao  the famous Philippine boxer becoming a senator. Congratulations. You can be patriotic about your homeland but still support the laws and traditions of the nation in which live. Someone said, “support the nation you live in or live in the nation you support!” Don’t be waiving a Mexican flag at me while you are living in this country. If you love Mexico so much, feel free to go back. Nobody is out there treading on the Mexican Flag, don’t expect me to be gleeful when you trod on Old Glory. I’m a veteran. I see you do that I’m going to have a few choice comments for you. Trigger warning my little socialist cupcake! You might be offended!

Hillary Clinton had her chance to answer the 3 a.m. phone call. The ambassador Chris Stevens was calling. He’s dead, as well as three others who died along with him. Special Operators dedicating their lives to defending Americans came to their aid and received no support. A four-star combatant commander offered aid and was told to stand down. He proceeded to send aid anyway and was immediately arrested and relieved of command. Who has the authority to stop a four-star general. Barack Obama, the president of the United States, that’s who. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton let those people die and then had the audacity to lie to the faces of their grieving family members, blaming a video which almost nobody saw. That’s why I can’t support Hillary Clinton.

For all of Donald’s flaws one thing is clear. He loves the country and wants it to prosper. I don’t know about the people currently in office. They  are terrible and it’s time to change course. Trump doesn’t badmouth cops, he supports them. Hillary badmouths cops. Trump supports the military. Hillary would cut the military. Trump has the endorsement of the NRA. Hillary would disarm us and leave us vulnerable to violence from radicals coming over our borders illegally. Trump has a business back ground and would work the create jobs. Hillary is good at creating jobs for terrorists.

Donald J. Trump

Donald J. Trump

I was a Ted Cruz guy. I still like him. He has a goofy love of the constitution that I admire. But the people have spoken and my party supports Donald Trump, so I will too. That doesn’t mean he has a blank check. I’m frankly pissed off at the Republican Party and its leadership. If they screw up the next four years like they have in the past, I’m going to be their worst nightmare.

Hillary isn’t the answer. The little democratic socialist would bring us an economy like Venezuela, and the libertarian Gary Johnson and his running mate are jokes. I’m holding my nose again and voting for Trump. Please don’t come to my house and try to burn my house down. I have a gun and will be utilizing my second amendment rights.

Three Men and a Truck: Matt and His Friends Help Liberate Libya

A critique of Point and Shoot, a documentary film by rebel filmmaker Matthew VanDyke

Captain Jeremy Griffith in Baghdad 2007

Recently I watched a war documentary filmed over five years by Matthew VanDyke. I’m a sucker for war films, but this one was way different that anything I’ve seen before, and definitely worth watching. You can find it now on Netflix.

The famous author Mark Twain is quoted as saying that the way to learn about a writer is to read his books. I think the same is true of the filmmaker. And so, even though I’ve never met Matt, I feel like I know him after watching this film. Here is a geeky guy from Baltimore, painfully awkward, looking for a “manly adventure”.

Most of us would join the military or something and go on deployment, but apparently for this guy, that never crossed his mind. I can see why. The guy is so tall and lanky, and painfully awkward as I said, the MEPS doctor would take one look at him and disqualify him as “unable to adapt to military life”, perhaps find a medical reason for doing so. One glaringly obvious reason to disqualify would be his OCD against bugs, germs, closed in spaces and other phobias that would be prohibitive for the life of a Soldier. And so, there is probably good reason this young man never darkens the door of a recruiter.

Instead he gets his Masters degree in Middle Eastern Studies or something and flies off to Africa with his Kawasaki bike and tours the country side for several years, filming himself as he goes. It’s kind of a Che Guevara type of motorcycle adventure, without the homicidal mania and the talk about communism. If that was the sum total of his adventure it would still be worth watching.

But the contacts and friendship Matt makes in Kaddafi’s Libya is preamble for the chapters that follow. Matt comes home to his girlfriend, wife? He never explains that part, and then the war in Libya happens and he’s drawn back to a war zone, this time to fight and not to document. In Iraq he embedded for a Baltimore paper to cover the war there from a Soldier’s perspective. They taught him how to load and shoot the various weapon systems. When he got to Libya, his experience handling weapons made him the SME, the subject matter expert, which is a frightening prospect.

In the midst of fighting that war he is captured in an ambush and spends a painful 5 months recuperating in solitary confinement in a Libyan prison. He goes a little nuts in prison, as one can well imagine and has visions about how the secretary of state Hillary Clinton comes to his aid and frees him. Of course he realizes after the fact that none of this is true. His release is secured because other prisoners riot and break out of the prison, and just happened to open the door of his cage on their way out the door. Matt is returned to the war and to his friends. He comes to realize that not all of his friends made it, having been killed in the ambush that landed him in prison.

Towards the end of the film, Matt describes how he participates in the final fall of the Kaddafi regime, fighting in a major battle. He’s not actually sure if he’s killed anyone, the enemy is always too far away and too impersonal. When he gets up close and personal with one sniper he fires, and misses his target. Then the end of the war arrives and Kaddafi is killed. Matt can take leave of his friends and go home.

Before the film wraps up, Matt meets up with his old Libyan friend Nuri. They go to the beach and go for a swim. It’s picturesque, very different from the conflict in the scenes before. Peaceful. There is nothing martial about Matt and his friends at all, they are all just peaceful people caught up in an ugly war for liberty. The videography is great and story is moving. I highly recommend it. Two thumbs up.

I’ve seen a few war documentaries in the past and I’ve enjoyed them. But this one is quite different. In this one, an awkward American turns from filmmaker to fighter in less than five years. If you met him on the street, you wouldn’t make him for a combat veteran, not like the ones I’ve seen. But in some ways he’s braver than many combat veterans I know. Courage is when you go outside your comfort zone and do the right thing even though it’s difficult. People who gravitate to the military and go on deployment are brave sure, but they’re built for that sort of thing. It’s not all that far out of their comfort zone. Matt is a fish out of water and yet he adapts. You won’t see him in a Navy SEAL bar acting all cavalier. He looks like a geek from Baltimore, a little more mature than when he left.

In some ways I admire this young man more than others who went with regular Army units to fight. When I went to Iraq, I was surrounded with the best trained, best equipped fighting force in the world. I felt pretty safe, having done some of that best of training myself at the home of the Infantry, Fort Benning Georgia. Matt and his friends had nothing; they were three men in a truck. That is a special kind of courage/slash foolishness, sometimes the distinction is too thin to really be sure.

“Matt and his friends had nothing; they were three men in a truck. That is a special kind of courage/slash foolishness, sometimes the distinction is too thin to really be sure.”

In a way I feel smallish following watching this film. I had all the best training in the world and in my retirement I watch angrily as ISIS takes over the greater Middle East, and Iraq where I was stationed for over 15 months. I could train, I could teach, I could mentor, and yet, here I am. I found myself yelling at the screen telling Matt and his friends, maneuver, don’t sit still, flank, find cover, return fire, go! But Matt and his friends didn’t have the training I had, just the availability. As the tragedy of the Christian and Yazidi genocide continues in the Middle East I wonder if more young men of little or no training will take up arms and join the “manly adventure” to liberate oppressed peoples. Maybe those few men and their truck will be more valuable than all the elite brigades the American Military has ever fielded?!

Battle of the College Theses: An Adventure in FOIA, Volume 2

Netcentric Hubris and the Challenges of Netcentric Leadership, a War College Thesis by Kurt Schlichter invokes in the mind of the author the image of the novel Ender's Game and it's associated movie; conjuring images of child generals using technology to pull the strings of the automaton soldiers below.

Recently I embarked on a journey to test FOIA, the Freedom of Information Act, probing the government like a curious kid with a stick, stabbing at a gator. What I’ve found stunned and surprised me, as so far I have found the government gate-keepers I’ve dealt with amazingly helpful and uncharacteristically polite.

Let me backtrack to the beginning. In a previous missive I wrote on Storify, I wondered out loud and with amazement how easy it is for the New York Times and Judicial Watch to obtain and publish online the graduate work of one General El Sisi of Egypt, now that nation’s president. While still a military officer, El Sisi attended our own US Army War College and wrote a thesis as his final project where he opined on Democracy in the Middle East, a document the New York Times obtained and published without comment. Intrigued I wondered how I would fair as a poor blogger who does not buy ink by the barrel. I selected a document I wanted by an author I knew, not knowing the exact title or even if the item requested in fact existed. I expected to be sandbagged by the government, and frankly I was ready to blast their inefficiency for what I believed would be a long and winding run-around course.

Not so. I was after all, dealing with the US Army War College, and apparently, they do things differently there. After sending a couple of stray e-mails to departments who had nothing to do with my request who had no idea what I was talking about, I was politely directed to the right “desk”. The reply I got was timely and polite. “Yes Mr. Griffith,” the fellow said. “You can have that. Would you like it in digits or on paper?” It was like the gentlemen was a clerk at Walmart asking if I wanted paper or plastic.

Two days ago I received the document I had requested and since then I have devoured the contents with glee and was not disappointed. The accompanying note read, almost apologetically, “Not sure if this is the final draft. It was all I could find. Regards!” I tore open the plain envelope and perused the thesis I found inside. I was a kid at Christmas.

I knew anything written by this author had to be good. Kurt A. Schlichter is known to me and is probably well know to you as well from his popular, snarky columns on Red State and Townhall. In my previous edition, I even theorized aloud what the title of the project would have been, something patriotic and heartwarming to conservatives who love America and equally disgusting and stomach wrenching for those who don’t. I reflected that feeling in the title of that article, a little tongue in cheek. I found myself learning something new just discovering the actual title of the document, which was not a disappointment. And yes, It was about leadership, just as I knew it would be.

Netcentric Hubris and the Challenge of Netcentric Leadership by LTC Kurt A. Schlichter. How about that for a title? I immediately googled “Hubris” and “Netcentric”.

hu·brisˈ(h)yo͞obrəs/noun

  1. excessive pride or self-confidence.
synonyms: arroganceconceithaughtinesshauteurprideself-importanceegotism,pomposity, superciliousness, superiority; More
  • (in Greek tragedy) excessive pride toward or defiance of the gods, leading to nemesis.

Net-centric or netcentric refers to participating as a part of a continuously-evolving, complex community of people, devices, information and services interconnected by a communications network to achieve optimal benefit of resources and better synchronization of events and their consequences.

In military connotation frequently associated with terms “Net-centric Operations (NCO)” and “Net-centric Warfare (NCW)”. Many people use the terms “net-centric” and “network-centric” interchangeably. Some consider “network-centric” to refer to activities within a particular network and “net-centric” to refer to activities that cross networks.

Many experts[who?] believe the terms “information-centric” or “knowledge-centric” would capture the concepts more aptly because the objective is to find and exploit information, the network itself is only one of several enabling factors.

A great read. I found out from COL Schlichter that the Army with all its technology and information systems is better able to micromanage its junior leaders, something Schlichter believes is a habit to be resisted. Leaders at the top are using the tools at hand to micromanage, working the levers of control and making dancing automatons out of their captains, lieutenants, and sergeants. Like marionettes on a string, those junior leaders execute the plans of their masters and introduce no decision making of their own.

Schlichter masterfully illustrates in his argument that the Army should refrain from this practice, instead leaning upon the time tested leadership style of centralized planning and decentralized control. Yes, the leader at the top can better see the battlefield from where he stands in the OP Center. But is that sight picture true? Does it cut through the fog of war? No. Instead, the leader must accept a certain amount of risk, depending on the junior leader to make the appropriate decision at his level. I was so impressed with the logic of this document that I published it online for you to read for yourself. There are the footnotes at the end, like breadcrumbs. You can follow the trail to the source, where you can read for yourself, testing for yourself if the author’s conclusion is true. Unclassified? Yes it says that at the top, so no problems there.

The experience I’ve had with the War College is like going on a camping trip with your family to the source waters of the mighty Mississippi River. You pile into the family station wagon and you go. When you arrive, you park, and you walk down to the river. You cross the narrow inlet, where the water slows to a trickle. Dipping your hand into the cold rushing water, you lean down and drink. Cool. Refreshing. Clean.

It’s like the Army is saying. “Yes citizen. You can have the final projects of our warrior leaders, and at no charge! We are proud of what we do here and in the leaders we train. You have the right to know what it is we are doing in your name. Read the words of the warrior leaders we’ve trained, be enlightened, and enjoy.” Wow. Just, wow.

I get an altogether different feeling when I try to find the educational documents written by some of our political leaders, which are as elusive to find as the Holy Grail.

To their credit, Mother Jones, that leftist publication, has done a little footwork for us. Very little. They got half of Ted Cruz’s Princeton Undergraduate work, Clipping the Wings of Angels: The History and Theory behind the Ninth and Tenth Amendments to the United States Constitution. A doughnut stained operative wandered into the Princeton’s Mudd Library to the place where student theses are stored and with camera phone in hand, photographed 48 pages of the 115 page document. It’s like the operative didn’t want the conservative politician’s undergrad thesis bad enough to get the whole thing! Was he/she interrupted during their surreptitious photography session by a roving security guard? One wonders. Maybe they were just too cheap to pay the $0.35 per page fee to get the whole thing? “That’s enough of this pro-constitution, flag-waiving crap! Our readers will get the point. Cruz is a juvenile, nationalistic scumbag. Let’s go.” Is that what they told themselves on their way out of the library, angry security guard in pursuit? Hmmm. Well, fear not, dear reader. I’ve paid the fee and hopefully I will get the full document here shortly.

Check out what one commenter said about the Cruz document at CNN iReport here!

Meantime, good luck trying to FOIA a similar document from Hillary Rodham Clinton or Barack Hussein Obama II. The president apparently did some kind of project for graduation when he matriculated through his various schools. FactCheck.org assures us that is so. But it wasn’t the kind of thesis that is required to be retained by the school and indeed, the professor who advised the young Barrack on this thesis doesn’t even retain his copy. Lost it in a move, he says. Oh well.

Hillary’s thesis on the other hands isn’t quite so difficult, to get your hands on, but a little bit of a challenge, at least according to Bill Dedman, MSNBC Investigative reporter, who details his adventure with the seldom seen document. (Dedman? Good name for a writer who accidently crosses the Clintons. One wonders why an investigative reporter is necessary to find this document of Hillary’s? Wouldn’t the Lifestyle editor be better?)

Dedman admits in his article from May of 2007 that Hillary’s thesis, based on an interview with vaunted socialist thinker and activist Saul Alinsky, was sealed for a brief time for convenience when the goddess Hillary was in her role as First Lady, at her own request. But since she started running for office of President the record was unsealed once more so the peasants can view it, if they can afford the plane ticket from Rochester Minnesota or Phoenix Arizona or where ever you’re from to come to the library and seek an audience with the aforementioned manuscript. Like a high priest going into the temple, Dedman has graciously volunteered to read the holy scripture for us, a line of rope tied around his ankle in case for whatever reason he upsets the gods and is struck dead in the process. He has pierced the veil to enter the holy of holies for us and has interpreted the document to save us all the trouble and hassle. How good of him.

You and I can’t judge for ourselves the tenure and structure of the article for ourselves, that is just too awkward. We’ll just have to take Dedman’s word for it. Footnotes? Really, what good are they? Why test the research acumen of the goddess, what Hubris you have, peasant? I like that word, I learned it earlier.

No there seems to be a definite trend here that is not surprising. If you are a right wing wacko bird like Ted Cruz who is running for president, or a war-mongering former comedian turned lawyer, columnist like Kurt Schlichter, an operative of the left will get your documents and use your own words to smear you. But, If you are Barack Obama, or Hillary Rodham Clinton, special care is taken by the gate-keepers to protect your college work so as to tamp down the unfair criticism of the unwashed masses.

And that really is the point right? There is a ring around the leftist prophets of progressivism that doesn’t extend to the lovers of the constitution. No, not for you. But there is still hope. We are told that Hillary and Barack got Ivy League educations and are more than qualified to be our leaders, even though we can’t judge their work for ourselves. We can judge them. Both have works of literature that has been edited and vetted and put out for the masses after the approval and polish of the acolytes. And we have their promises and words on the TV. Yes we can judge them and we will.

Happily Barack is not running for office again, although I predict he’ll be around in the wings for quite some time. As for Hillary, if she gets past her current dilemma with the press over her missing emails and private server, with the help of the press, then she is well on her way to be the presumptive nominee.

The democrats have cause for concern this time around, however. The GOP has a deep bench filled with conservatives as well as a moderate or two and with luck the right guy or gal will rise to the top to challenge the goddess. Ted Cruz, cum laude from his respective institution of Princeton and a champion debater with a record for excellence, leads the way. I can’t wait to see a debate between Hillary Clinton and Ted Cruz. It’ll be better than fireworks.
